A spirited leader, Imani consistently represents the PrimeMyBody mission and vision through her long-held passion for sharing the benefits of plant-based wellness with a global society that is awakening to what she describes as the “cannabis consciousness.” Building a thriving team in the U.S. and internationally, Imani is known within our community as a leader and mentor who consistently helps groom her Affiliate teammates on how to achieve their individual goals through long-term business strategy.

Mama Knows Best

Imani Mamalution has always done it the right way. For over a decade she owned and managed an organic cafe while raising her five daughters in a supportive and loving home—mostly as a single mother. She’s always instilled in her children to lead their lives, as she puts it, “With their instincts intact.” She’s taught them the power of independence and the values of living a high character holistic lifestyle.

“I’ve definitely had my challenges like most mothers. I would say the biggest thing for me early on was balancing being a single mama and also having the ability to generate an income,” says Imani.

Not long before being introduced to PrimeMyBody, Imani realized that even though she owned her own business it wasn’t gifting her the benefits of time or financial freedom she felt that she and her family deserved.

“The last year at the cafe I noticed there wasn’t freedom in it. Even though entrepreneurs may own their own business and we think we’re free, there are often limitations. As a small business owner, I was working 12 to 15 hour days…trying to make ends meet at that point so I could feed my family organic food was no small feat. I was literally getting paid for the hours that I worked, and realized that the time for dollars didn’t equate to me,” says Imani—who recently re-released her book The Absence of Soil just last week. 

Building A Business Founded On Intentions

As the face of her organic cafe, Imani listened to dozens upon dozens of pitches from network marketing ambassadors prospecting her on the next big thing in wellness. Dabbling in a couple of network marketing opportunities, Imani says she, “Learned a lot about what to do and what not to do.” One of the most crucial things she did learn, which she applied immediately to her PrimeMyBody business, was to set intentions and specific business development strategies.

“I definitely apply a lot of strategy to how I do things, but at the same time, I remain open and always say yes to receiving. I have intentions about how I want my business to grow efficiently and effectively. It goes beyond being sustainable, but how I spoke at the Momentum event, about the business being regenerative,” she adds.

Imani knows there is a miraculousness that occurs when connecting with people and building relationships, but she’s also aware that since the intentions for her business are designed, nothing is completely random. She utilizes specific strategies to architect the best life she can for her family, like building a team in Chicago where her oldest daughter goes to college.

“There’s a strategy I exercise with how I build a business. You have to be persistent and consistent and apply routines and duplication. I think where most people feel challenged is they don’t master the mundane. They get distracted. They get bored or frustrated. They find an excuse. The only thing that gets in the way of our success are the excuses that we create.”

Celebrating Hemp In Japan

Another of Imani’s strategies was to intentionally build a team in Japan. That drive stems from an understanding of how well-received our hemp-based products would be in Japan, and also because it would facilitate a way for her to travel abroad with her family—particularly with one of her daughters who’s had a fascination with exploring Tokyo. 

“I never thought I would travel. I thought I missed that opportunity when I started having kids and I’d have to live vicariously through them. Building my PrimeMyBody business, I envisioned traveling with my kids again, especially now that they’re older and can appreciate it more,” says Imani.

In less than a year, Imani has helped construct a strong PrimeMyBody team in Japan, a team that started with one simple connection she made at a wellness event in Spokane, Washington. Traveling often to Japan, she’s personally realized how respected hemp and plant-based wellness is throughout the country.

“They have an appreciation for hemp. It’s revered, it’s sacred, and they already have that imprint in their psyche. Hemp and RECEPT are being embraced, and you can see that as the teams grow and people are sharing it. We’ve established momentum in Japan, and I do think it can be one of our top markets and an anchor for PMB in Asia,” Imani adds. 

A Plant-Based Success Story

A proponent for holistic living for decades, Imani has always gravitated to the power of plant-based wellness. Her belief in what plant compounds can do for health and well-being are supported by the positive stories and testimonials she’s received when sharing our hemp-based extracts and supplements. 

Representing PrimeMyBody worldwide, Imani carries with her the high character traits that have been a catalyst for the respect and business success she’s earned as a PMB Affiliate leader.

“It’s really important to walk our talk as leaders. I do my absolute best to do that to my highest capabilities. To be able to hit Double Diamond was a personal goal, but I also look at it as an advantage for my team, for the company, and hopefully, it can inspire others to achieve what is absolutely possible for them.”
